Gear!

Detailed here is some of the gear that I use.  Hopefully, this section will be utilized to
trade ideas, set-up tips and/or gear related questions.


Suhr Custom Classic - Alder Body, Maple neck w/ Pau Ferro Fingerboard, Charcoal Frost Metallic



Main Guitars

Fender Strat Plus 1989 (Indigo)
specs/modifications: Rosewood fingerboard, DiMarzio Pickups*: custom humbucker
in bridge,  HS-2's in middle & neck positions (wired for upper coil use only), neck compound
radiused to taper from 10" - 12 ", roller nut replaced with standard (bone), rewired for master
vol & master tone controls, Sperzel locking tuners, trem blocked off.

Tom Anderson Classic 1993 (Black)
specs/mods:Rosewood board, Alder body, DiMarzio pickups: Steve's Special humbucker in bridge,
Blue Velvet single coil pickup in middle position & Red Velvet model in neck slot,
standard Strat type 5-way switch, floating/locking trem bridge.

Fender Squier Strat 1988 (White)
specs/mods: Rosewood fingerboard, Alder body, DiMarzio pickups: Steve's Special in bridge
position which splits when combined with Blue Velvet bridge model in middle, Red Velvet
in neck, 1 volume, 1 tone, Gotoh machines, trem blocked off.  Found this Japanese made
guitar in a pawn shop for 100 bucks.  It sounded amazing - real loud, full and rich when
played acoustically.  The neck was refretted and compound radiused (12" - 14").

The "Carry" Rig:
This is a small pedalboard that I use at jam sessions and small gigs.  It's on a PedalTrain Jr. frame and is pretty
compact although it gives me a good range of flexability when plugged into a clean amp like the Fender Hot Rod.
